Today’s review is on the Selena Cup.

The Selena Cup is manufactured in Poland but they are an Austrian company. It is made from medical grade silicone and has a loop at the end that is not like the classic stem. It also has 4 rings at the bottom of the cup to help with the grip. It comes in 2 colours: pink and mint. A new colour might join soon.

The Selena Cup is on the firmer side and has 2 consistencies: one regular and the second one is called Aktiv, which is stiffer. The package itself is simple and the cup comes in a plastic box and has a pouch. Each consistency comes in 3 sizes: small, medium and large.

Small:
Length: 58mm (rim to stem), width: 39mm, capacity: 21ml.

Medium:
Length: 67mm, width: 45mm, capacity: 26ml.

Large:
Length: 62mm, width: 42mm, capacity: 34ml.

I tried the regular medium size, not the Aktiv, although I should have taken the large size.

Insertion:

It went in quite easily. The loop was comfortable and it popped open easily. The thing is that I had leaks, but I don’t think it is cup related but rather more size related. I couldn’t use it for too long due to this problem.

Removal:

There were no issues with this at all.

I know there are people who prefer the loop stem because it might be easier to remove and I think the small option may be really good for teenagers because it is tiny. I haven’t seen it myself but the medium cup I have is small.

To sum up my experience, it is a nice, quality cup.

** Please note that these reviews are based on my own experience and are therefore my own opinion. I would also like to mention that we are all shaped differently and if something didn’t work well for me it doesn’t mean that it won’t work for you.
