How did I start with all these reviews?

We are all different and therefore our needs are different. I wanted to be able to provide the best service I can. I have realized that for me to do so, I need to provide people with options, help them find their best fit and to further offer my guidance if needed. This is the reason I started trying different brands; to stock them myself and to help as many people as possible.

My next review will be about the Yuuki menstrual cup.

Yuuki is designed and manufactured in the Czech Republic. It is made of medical grade silicone, has FDA approval and looks and feels like a quality menstrual cup.

A few of the things I liked about this cup, besides what I have mentioned, are that the stem is round, it has 4 lines at the bottom to help gripping the cup, it has measures on the cup so you know how much you bleed, and it comes with an infusion box. You use this box for microwave sterilizing and for storing the cup. I have asked the company about its safety and they said it is made of “polypropylene so it has long lifetime”. I have read about this material and you can find it here.

The Yuuki cup comes in 2 different consistencies: classic and soft. The classic is known as one of the stiffest cups. I tried it and I couldn’t handle it. It was way too stiff for me and I felt it pushing against my vaginal walls. I had to take it out. The soft one is softer than the classic but on the scale, I would say it is in the middle. It comes in 2 colours: transparent, which is the one I tried, and rainbow. I was tempted to stray from my habits as it was so enticing to try the rainbow, but I decided not to.

There are 2 sizes: small and large.

Cup No. 1 (smaller)

  • cup length including stem: 67 mm (49 mm excluding stem)
  • cup width (diameter): 41 mm
  • total volume of cup: 24 ml
  • safe volume of cup: 14 ml – up to safety ring

Cup No. 2 (larger)

  • cup length including stem: 74 mm (56 mm excluding stem)
  • cup width (diameter): 46 mm
  • total volume of cup: 37 ml
  • safe volume of cup: 24 ml – up to safety ring

I liked using the Yuuki cup. Inserting it was no issue and it opened quite easily. I had to adjust it a bit though, but it felt pleasant once in place. Removing it was a bit sore at the beginning, but the second time round was much better.

Who will benefit from this cup? If you tend to bleed heavily, its capacity will be a great help and relief for you.

I have decided that Yuuki will be a great addition to my variety.

** Please note that these reviews are based on my own experience and are therefore my own opinion. I would also like to mention that we are all shaped differently and if something didn’t work well for me it doesn’t mean that it won’t work for you.
